Design Process

User Research

To understand the needs and pain points of journalists, we conducted interviews and surveys. We found that journalists need a mobile-friendly solution that ensures end-to-end encryption, collaboration features, and easy integration with their existing tools. The app was developed with a strong focus on security, using encryption standards to protect user data and content. Real-time collaboration features were implemented, along with integration options for popular content management systems.

Persona

"Introducing Our Persona: Dhananjay, Your Window into the World of Journalists on the Field, Where Each Story is a Thrilling Quest."

Incorporating the insights gained from extensive research, I meticulously distilled the findings into three vital user personas. These personas were meticulously shaped through collaborative persona workshops, engaging all relevant stakeholders, including various positions utilizing the software. My primary persona, Dhananjay, was meticulously developed by keenly listening to the feedback gathered from research interviews. Dhananjay serves as a conduit for me to immerse myself in the world of journalists and better understand their experiences.

Design System

In my capacity, I took the lead in developing a design system for our Reporters application. This system promoted unity within our team, ensuring that everyone utilized the same set of components and design styles. Consequently, our operations became significantly more streamlined, leading to enhanced output quality.

A design system functions as a structured repository of reusable components, guided by clearly defined standards. It empowers teams to easily assemble diverse elements, simplifying the creation of multiple applications. The need for design systems aligns perfectly with the requirements of scalability, efficiency, and consistency in design. In essence, they bring order to the creative complexity.
